Description
These inserts will re-tune the edition XS to make it’s tuning closer to the Arya Organic with more air in the high end. This will make them a bit brighter so if you are sensitive to sibilant sounds these may not be for you.
This is a DIY kit and you will need to dismantle your headphones to fit them. If you don’t feel you have the skills to do that, we recommend contacting us and we can fit them for £20 + return postage.

First, I wish these were in another color, but the black is shiny and textured, so I will deal with it. Second, I did NOT think these were going back together, the socket does not allow for an easy go. I watched the video several times where it was explained to push in on the socket as you put the driver brackets back in, and it looked easy when he did it, but he said they have been modified several times and were “loosey-goosey”. I had to use the table edge to push it in, and I would suggest that you start at the socket as you snap it back in, it was the only way it worked for me, and I walked away several times so I didn’t “rage quit” as I like my edition XS headphones very much. After coming up with the table edge method I was done in less than 10 minutes, if you do not count the 3 plus hours of growing frustration (hence the walking away) and rewatching of the video I did. I like that this can be reversed easily, without the need for a table edge.
The one thing I noticed is that I had to crank up the gain on all of my amps, but I did hear things in the B52’s Planet Claire which I never noticed, a tone added to the mix for the atmospheric background that went back and forth before the singing started, I was not expecting it, and on Black Hole Sun the sound of Chris Cornell yelling “Black Hole Sun” from every part of the background was exceptionally clear. I WANT a pair of Hifiman Organics, but not as much as I did before.
I don’t seem to need it, but no alcantra was in the box I recieved, which it did quickly, even though I live in the states. Another happy purchase from Custom Cans, I think this is my 4th.
