Detachable cable or balanced conversion kit for Beyerdynamic.
This kit comes with a 4 pin mini XLR socket with wires already attached. Included is a matching 4-pin mini XLR to attach to a cable. The kit also come with a burr tool to help you make an appropriately sized hole in the ear cups.
Because it is a 4pin it can be used to convert them to take a balanced connection.

We offer a full 2 year ‘return to base’ warranty, and we keep all spare parts in stock, so that we can also send replacement parts if necessary. Outside of the warranty period we still offer repairs on all our products for a fair price.

Close to 70% of our customers are outside of the UK, so we have a lot of experience with international orders and worldwide shipping. All packages over £50 have a form of international tracking.

I bought these for my dt770s, after watching the video, installation was very easy and most of the process was enjoyable! The only thing I had issues with was soldering the stock cable to the 4 pin mini xlr as it seemed the solder didn’t like to stay coated to the cable if that makes sense. However I bought this to replace the original cable anyways and every cable I’ve soldered since then has worked flawlessly so I assume Beyerdynamic changed their cabling at some point or (and very possible) my soldering skills are lacking but I haven’t had any complaints about them yet!

I am mostly satisfied with my purchase, but I have two small issues.
Good things first. I bought two packs of this mod since both my brother and I bought 770 Pros and really enjoy them. This, in fact was my first ever modding project (I actually bought Dremel specifically for this). I am honestly happy with how it turned out. Besides, the result looks quite factory quality (despite some mess on the inside from inexperience with the dremel).
I have encountered two small problems though. I have 100th anniversary 770 Pros and the grommits on their headband cable are not removable, so I had to desolder the included cable and solder the original one to the connector. I think this should be mentioned on the website, since the service to presolder wires to the connector doesn’t make sense anymore.
The other one is that the grinding bit for the dremel is different from the two ones shown in the picture. It is a perfect bit for the job (cylindrical, with conic end) and it worked perfectly for me, but I wish the pictures reflected what customers are paying for.
Overall, these problems are small and easily solvable. Otherwise it’s an amazing modkit that I can highly recommend.
