Kit Overview

The kit is designed to enable the use of standard 100mm pads on HiFiMan Sundara Closed-Back headphones. This compatibility means that users are able to customise their headphones with a wide range of replacement pads, such as Beyerdynamic pads. Offering enhanced comfort and the possibility to tailor the sound signature to personal preferences, while insuring a secure and reliable fit when used in combination with the included adapter rings and hooks.

Installation Instructions

Begin by ensuring you have all the necessary components: two adapter rings and twelve hooks. The hooks are intended to be attached to the rings using super glue. Allow sufficient time for the glue to dry thoroughly before proceeding with use.

Hook Positioning and Attachment

To properly position the hooks, insert each one through the back of the adapter ring. When pushed into place, the hooks will naturally align and self-locate, ensuring a secure fit.

It is advisable to conduct a test fit before applying glue. This will help determine the correct orientation for each hook and ensure proper assembly.

Important Notice

While the modification process is relatively simple, it is important to proceed with care to avoid potential damage to the headphones. The mod can generally be completed safely and quickly if instructions are followed attentively. However it should be noted that any damage incurred during installation is the responsibility of the user.

Professional Installation Service

For those who are hesitant about performing the modification themselves, there is an option to have the kit professionally installed. This service is available for a fee of £20 plus postage costs.

We offer a full 2 year ‘return to base’ warranty, and we keep all spare parts in stock, so that we can also send replacement parts if necessary. Outside of the warranty period we still offer repairs on all our products for a fair price.

Close to 70% of our customers are outside of the UK, so we have a lot of experience with international orders and worldwide shipping. All packages over £50 have a form of international tracking.

– European packages normally take 4-6 days.

– Packages shipping outside of the EU may be delayed in customs, but the tracking system should keep you updated of its progress.
