This is a modified pair of Beyerdynamic DT990 pro 250 ohm studio headphones, complete with microphone and removeable cable.

DT990 headphones are excellent for gaming as they are designed to provide incredibly accurate imaging of sound. The open back design and stereo separation allows you to hear exactly where sounds are coming from. Audio sounds incredibly 3D and lifelike through these studio headphones. The only downfall of these headphones for gaming, was that they lacked a microphone. But with this modification, a removeable microphone has been installed for excellent audio quality when communicating with teammates.

The microphone can articulate on a flexible arm that allows for optimal positioning. The headphones can be connected to an audio source via either a 4 pole 3.5mm jack or via two 3 pole 3.5mm jacks. The cable has an inline volume control and a mute switch.

Comfort Suppport Strap:

A support strap to spread the weight of the headphones over a larger area and take the pressure off the top of your head. It also replaces the original shoulder pieces that house the slider mechanism which is a weak point on this range. So if you find the original head pad creates a hot spot at the top of your head this is ideal but also, if your head pad is warn out or the shoulders have cracked, this will fix those issues as well for a sensible price

Microphonics Killer:

If you are sick of the noise transmitted by the cable to your ear when the cable rubs on your clothes… This it is bit of kit you need. It looks simple but took a fair amount of design to get it to work effectively. Firstly it brings the cable forward so it is not rubbing on your shoulder any more, but more importantly it damps the vibrations coming throught the cable which massively reduces the annoying microphonics sound.

All of our modified headphones are made to order. They will take between 2 and 4 weeks to make, then you will receive an email once they have been dispatched.

Customer service and warranty

We know that you are paying a premium for our headphones and that they are a very important part of your life. Our headphones are made durable and reliable, but in the unlikely event that you do have an issue with them, please get in contact with us and we will make sure that we get you sorted out. We offer a full 2 year ‘return to base’ warranty, and we keep all of the spare parts in stock so that we can also send replacement parts if necessary. Outside of the warranty period we still offer repairs on all our products for a fair price.

International orders

Close to 70% of our customers are outside of the UK, so we have a lot of experience with international orders and worldwide shipping. All packages over £50 will have a form of international tracking.

– European packages normally take 4-6 days.
– US, AUS and Canada packages normally take 7-10 Days.
– Packages sent to the rest of the world can vary depending on local postal services.
– Packages shipping outside of the EU may be delayed in customs. But the tracking system should keep you updated of its progress.
