Here we have a tweaked version of the world renowned Sennheiser HD600 headphones. We take a standard pair of HD600s and make a couple of modifications to the driver to make them sound less veiled and improve their low frequency square wave performance. We also replace the stock cable with one of our ultra-low capacitance litz copper cables, terminated in a choice of jacks or wired for use with a balanced output.

The drivers on these have had the foam on the back of the driver removed to open them up a bit more and and we have surrounded the back of the driver in lead. 

The lead adds mass which helps the driver reproduce the very low frequencies more accurately. We did a bit of testing using a similar mass of clay and the lead seemed to improve things more noticeably. We are still not 100% sure why the lead made additional improvements but it may be something to do with leads diamagnetic properties pushing some of the magnetic flux back in towards the voice coil - either way it livens up the HD650 and HD600 and gives more low end detail.

The ultra low capacitance cable helps with timing and impact and is more neutral than our silver plated copper cables giving a more realistic and detailed sound.
