{"id":285,"date":"2011-09-02T22:28:54","date_gmt":"2011-09-02T22:28:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.customcans.co.uk\/blog\/?p=285"},"modified":"2011-09-02T22:28:54","modified_gmt":"2011-09-02T22:28:54","slug":"audiophile-silver-hd25-1-cable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/customcans.co.uk\/blog\/?p=285","title":{"rendered":"Audiophile Silver HD25-1 Cable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After drooling over some of the cables from moon audio and cardas I decided to make a real audiophile cable to see how much difference they make.<\/p>\n<p>I purchased some high end teflon covered silver cable and top of the range connectors and went to work&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>First I took the cable and cut it into 4 pieces with two being a bit longer to keep the cable single sided entry ( the long bit will go over the headband to the left cup )<\/p>\n<p>Then I created twisted pairs to stop any crosstalk<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-286\" title=\"silver and rotm 001\" src=\"http:\/\/www.customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-001-1024x213.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"120\" srcset=\"https:\/\/customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-001-1024x213.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-001-300x62.jpg 300w, https:\/\/customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-001.jpg 1936w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then I twisted those pairs together wrapped the cable in nylon<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-287\" title=\"silver and rotm 002\" src=\"http:\/\/www.customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-002-1024x281.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-002-1024x281.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-002-300x82.jpg 300w, https:\/\/customcans.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/silver-and-rotm-002.jpg 1936w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next &#8211; soldered on the connectors. I used a neutrik 3.5mm jack and cardas HPSC for the headphone end.
