With some other artists doing most of the hard work for me I have some more time for some special projects. This is the first of which and it is a tough one.
\nThe plan is to make some Pioneer HDJ-2000 headphones look like iron man arc reactors. As you can imagine these will be some of the most expensive and exclusive DJ headphones once finished and I am a little nervous as they have to be spot on and I cant afford to make any mistakes.<\/p>\n

If you have not seen the HDJ-2000 before, they are pretty beautiful already. They are renowned as being the best designed DJ headphones on the market with their magnesium hinges and memory foam pads.

As you can imagine, such a well made pair of headphones is very tricky to get apart safely without scratching the body. It took me a couple of hours of head scratching and nervously prodding to get the ear cups off.
\nBut as you can see it all turned out OK

The Next phase was to start to make the ark reactors. I cut two rings of plexiglass to replace the metal rings on the headphones. They had too be accurate down to 0.1mm to make it fit tightly.

Then I made the ring of tiny LEDs soldered on to two rings of wire
